Your Eligibility
As an Agropur employee who works 30 or more hours a week on a regular basis, you are eligible for all the benefits covered in this website.
If you were hired to work less than 30 hours per week, we review enrollment opportunities annually based on average hours worked.
Additionally, employees changing from a part-time to a full-time employee status will be offered coverage and are eligible first of the month following one month after the date of the change in status. Regular part-time employees are eligible for 401(k), EAP, and PTO.
Eligible dependents may be enrolled in some benefits as well. Eligible dependents include:
- Legal spouse
- Dependent children up to age 26, including
- stepchildren
- legal guardianship
- adoption
- Unmarried grandchildren who are adopted
- Physically or mentally disabled children 26 and older if meeting specific criteria established by Anthem WI
2025 Benefits Overview
Benefits are effective the first of the month following one month of employment.

Open Enrollment is Oct. 28 - Nov. 13, 2024
This is your once-a-year opportunity to pick your plans or make changes to your existing coverage. The choices you make during Open Enrollment will become effective on January 1, 2025 and remain in effect through December 31, 2025.
When you enroll you can:
- Enroll in benefits for the first time
- Change your current coverage, if needed
- Update your dependent information
- Update your beneficiary information
No action, no coverage
If you do not take action and confirm or waive your elections by the enrollment deadline, all non-company provided benefits will be automatically waived for 2025.

Complete Your Enrollment in Workday
- Log on to your Workday account.
- Go to the “Inbox.”
- Select the “Open Enrollment Change” task.
If you’re a new hire, select “Benefit Change – New Hire.”
Ensure your home address and phone number are up to date in Workday.
*You will need to verify your spouse and/or dependents newly added to your coverage. You will also need to add or verify your life insurance beneficiaries. Make sure to have their names, birthdates, Social Security numbers, genders, and addresses before starting enrollment.
When adding a dependent to your medical, dental or vision benefits for the first time, proof of dependent status such as a marriage certificate for a spouse or a birth certificate for a child will need to be provided. Please reach out to the Employee Service Center if you do not have and will need to obtain the required proof of dependency at the time of enrollment.
- Review your elections, select “I Agree” and then click “Submit.”
- Print your confirmation page and keep it for future reference.
Qualifying Life Event
Certain life events provide you a 30-day window to elect benefits or change your covered dependents. Agropur is required to follow certain IRS rules to protect the tax advantages of our benefit plans. These rules affect when you may change benefits and what changes may be made.
What is a Qualifying Life Event? If you experience any of the scenarios below, you may be eligible to update your benefit elections mid-year:
- Marriage, divorce, legal separation or annulment
- The addition of dependents due to birth, adoption, or legal guardianship
- A change in the employment status for a spouse or a dependent, including the termination or commencement of employment
- The loss of dependents due to loss of dependent eligibility, death, or placement for adoption
- Employee or spouse become eligible for Medicare
- A reduction in employee’s work schedule to less than 30 hours per week
- Judgment, decree, or court order requiring spouse or former spouse to provide coverage for children
- Dependent loses or gains benefit eligibility of an employer’s benefit plan
- Open enrollment of the state’s Public Marketplace Exchange
- Spouse or dependent’s employer’s open enrollment
Changes must be made in Workday within 30 days of the event.
